From Monday till this morning I was pretty bored. At work we were just idling because key persons were either sick or on holiday. On my free time I was also bored but I managed to do some shopping and I even found new shoes. But today I things just changed.

I was working with new task and I listened music at the same time through head phones. Then I realized that the song playing had excellent lyrics for my mood.

I think during this week the realism bit me. Even though I like my job it can be boring sometimes. Everyday life can be boring even though I am living abroad. Life starts to follow routines and days repeat each other. And then I think is it anyhow different here than anywhere else?

My friends have been studying in Belgium and they are soon leaving back to Finland to finalize their studies. But before that they decided to do some sightseeing and traveling in other countries in Europe. And so they ended up here to visit me and they arrived on early Saturday morning.

I haven't seen them since May 2005 so it was nice to meet and offer an accommodation to them. We visited most typical places during yesterday and today. Unfortunately the snowy and cold Budapest was not on its best but the price level was appealing them. And it was sure fun to talk some Finnish.

The biggest disappointment was that I was not able to find good kürt?skalács for them. I miss that fresh one from x-mas market...

Our London trip was great. Mostly. Weather was acceptable and the flat where we stayed was really nice. We visited typical places and some not so typical like Korean restaurant. But the really memorable day was Sunday. We first travelled with underground to go the bus pick up point. But the Jubilee line was having some technical problems and we had to change line four times to get our destination. And it required running with all the luggage.

And then we arrived to airport. All flights canceled because somebody could not land his plane properly and got stuck in the mud after runway. So we had to wait one day before we finally left UK.

Traveling and working all the time. After this London trip it will be more quiet for a while. Which is good because I am planning to take some Hungarian lessons. This London trip is a budget one, free accommodation and flight from EasyJet. Dóra should be there already but I haven't heard from her for a while. It would be nice to meet there tomorrow, otherwise my trip will be very different.
