Pushing my limits

January 19, 2009
I have taken a new challenge. Couple days ago Dóra got three juggling balls and naturally I ended up trying them. Just for your information, my eye-hand coordination is horrible, especially when throwing a ball is involved. And juggling with three balls sounded like crude joke.

Just tossing a ball from hand to another wasn't 100% sure first. So first days were just constant disaster as balls ended up landing at totally random places in the room. But for my own surprise I am getting there. Because this activity is something that I haven't been doing much, I can almost feel how brains are trying to cope with the new concept. Definitely an addictive sport.

Back from holidays

January 07, 2009
I had a very nice holiday in Finland. I met relatives, relaxed and celebrated xmas, new year and my birthday. I also did some winter time rabbit hunting without any success. That leads to a tv program I found today from BBC iPlayer. It is called Kill It, Cook It, Eat It.

The program's most recent episode of series 3 shows how wild deers are being tracked, shot and prepared for cooking. Being a hunter myself the process is well known but it was interesting to see people's reaction as they shot and prepared the animal for the very first time. Very educating for everyone.
