On last Saturday I finally tasted proper Hungarian Gulyas in Miskolc. We joined the group of trainees and exchange students for a dinner. The restaurant was also offering live music in addition of good food. Even though I was rather tired and not really hungry the of the soup taste was really good.
Next day was then for travelling to Tokai and visiting a wine cellar with the same group. Traveling was fun with such group and even it was raining I liked the autumn colored nature. The wine cellar was pretty small and meant for producing and storing only. We were offered dry wine, several sweet wines and finally some palinka. Palinka is strong (40-60%) alcohol and it is usually made from pearls. Also other fruits are possible. Some of the wines were way too sweet to my taste but it was still a cheerful experience.
