Last Saturday we had some happenings here. Early afternoon sky over river Duna was filled with aerial action as Redbull air race took place. Before that there were flybys done with various aircrafts including Corsair and B-25. Those planes flew quite low and slow over the chain bridge and passed the parliament house. The air race itself was also interesting while acrobatics planes dashed under the bridge and proceeded the course marked with air filled pylons.
In the evening the same bridge was the stage for the fireworks show. Lasting half an hour and with background music it was really spectacular. But it was also pricey for the city, Budapester.hu stated that the whole event cost 284 million HUF which is 1.16 million euro. It just feels a little bit strange to literally burn and explode money on the sky while you see beggars and homeless people every day.

As I spent five days per week working I suddenly have much less free time compared to that period when I was just waiting work to start. So I started to think where the hours go. My average work day has 8 working hours and a lunch break. That break is not part of the working time unfortunately, so I would rather keep it short. Depending where we eat, it might take over an hour - or in the best case only 40 minutes. One way to make that time shorter would be to have lunch separately or bring own food to work. But the lunch is also a social event and as a new worker I rather spend some time to get to know each other.
Traveling to work is other thing to consider. At the moment I am using tram because I can use single line all way long. But it is rather long way, taking around 40 minutes. Luckily the metro renovation is soon done and I can try that option.
My free time then is consumed by compulsory household tasks, chatting with friends online, language studies, hobby programming or modeling etc. But how would I use my extra free time if I would have it?
Maybe doing some sports or workout to keep in fit, spending more time outdoors, writing blog...

... sort of. Last week I met my downstairs neighbor first time. She was able to speak good english and the reason of her visit was that my flat leaked water on her. It turned out it is my shower box's leaking seal. So, she called my landlord and discussed about topic. Because this is a new flat it has guarantee and that problem will be repaired on their expense. The only issue is that the time of the repairs is still unknown...
Bad food with high price

Ok, it is time to complain. There is a 24/7 shop nearby and on Sunday I decided to visit that after F1-race. I already knew that there is no cheap shop in CBA chain. But this time the products were bad, too. Cheese is labeled as trappista but compared to others this is the cheapest possible cheese. It barely is cheese after all, way too soft. Another example is those small sausages. Taste is almost ok but why on earth they are wrapped inside plastic? Well, I am not sure but I have never seen anything like on a sausage.
The last item was yogurt and water 50/50 mix. That was my fault, ivójughurt means actually jughurt blended with something, maybe water, to make it drinkable. Too bad it is also way too sweet...
So now I have learnt that one should do shopping early and not to buy CBA-branded items.
