Now I have been working three weeks and I still like that job. Good thing! Today I also fetched my residence permit card and after that I only have to visit my district council.

Last few days have been really hot so I don't mind sitting in cool office. Wednesday I was with Dóra watching soccer match. It was a show match between F1 drivers and Hungarian all stars. Too bad I didn't understand much what commentator was explaining, audience seemed to like him.

I also heard that there is a decent swimming pool on my way to work. I really could use some extra exercise, especially while I don't have my bicycle here.

We'll see...

Finally! That was the word I said to my boss on Monday morning. After all the hassle I was able to start working. The first day was just a getting to know people, environment, tools, project etc. So far everything has gone pretty nicely and the task is inspiring. Today afternoon I already worked with actual project and that is good thing. I rather do something meaningful instead just sitting. Well, so far my days have been pretty intense and I think it will continue like that.

I still have to visit immigration office before I have spent 75 days in Hungary and I also have to visit district council right after that. Those should be pretty straightforward tasks as I have the necessary documents. Too bad my landlord is having his vacation and I should get a signature to a document...

The trip to lake Balaton was a success. Even though the weather was changing constantly we managed to swim a lot because the water was really warm. We stayed in a small village called Balatonvilagos. It is pretty quiet and cosy place to stay, not a big tourist attraction. Our accommodation was the nice house of AIESEC member parents and it was located close to the beach. I do not know about other locations around Balaton but this one is very nice for those who want to have peaceful weekend in a relaxing environment.

After returning to Budapest I found out that my work permit process has taken steps forward. It should be ready by now and I am able to start working. I agreed with my boss that I will start on July 11. The remaining week will be spent in Miskolc helping with house repairs.
