I managed to upload my photos finally. Mostly they show just buildings and usual things... but in one photo there is the company which sent me a work contract today. Before signing it I will use my union law support to check it, just to make it safe.

I'd like to offer you a job as a junior software developer.


I had interview on Monday and now I received reply. That's cool... especially because I really like that company. Now I have to wait till next week to get replies from other companies as well.

But I am happy now.

It turned out to be busy tuesday so I didn't have chance to update this. The second interview included small test of programming skills but it wasn't impossible one. Pretty interesting position anyways.

After that I went to Nyugati square to meet Dóras cousin. We entered a nice teahouse around one block from the square. Too bad I can't remember the street but it was next to the Lancelot restaurant. Great selection of teas and in addition of serving tea they also sell tea and tea related items.

Wednesday morning I did some packing and went for my last interview during my stay. That took over two hours and it included several tests... technical, mathematical, personality etc.

So I didn't have too much time after that, I just packed rest of my stuff and headed to airport. I was there a little bit too early but I didn't have interest to go to downtown. The flight back was normal and Finland was cold. And my parents had a ton of questions...

Monday's second interview was really interesting and also so far most promising. That company was there for me =). Hopefully there is a match.

Later in the evening I wasn't alone anymore, Miki and Dina and co. came. We had nice chat with wine about Hungary and toilets. Maybe there was also other topics.

Tuesday's first interview wasn't too promising. They were looking highly experienced J2EE developers and the other project wasn't yet in that stage they could hire me.

So next thing is now to go and buy some hobby stuff for Dóra and other items. Next interview is at 17 so I have 4 hours to go...

Wah... I should not complain, but life here is a bit boooring...

I'd like to know what is going on, etc... today we actually managed to talk a little bit. And he is coming in two days! :)))))

And I talked to my father too... He also likes Pepez... I wonder if it means sth, hm...

But at least "the meet the parents" wasn't a catastrophe.

And I also posted a sort of application to a company. Well, there was no offer or anything. I just found them while searching for job for Pepez (frankly, I read about them at uni before, but didn't really pay attention), though they pretty fit to my intrests. Dealing with HR and organizing stuff. So I decided to give it a try. I don't really have anything to do during the summer. But I don't want a summer job... it should be longer. Could be a very good experience for me.

Just got a message from him... They "mulattak" this night :) wine and stuff... you know. Wonder when he is going to get up... :D

I would love to be close to him now... and now,... and maybe now.
I'd better finish this :)

Yesterday's visit to Terror museum was a worth of expensive ticket. I got much better image what happened in Hungary during and after WW2. I have to admit that we finns have been lucky...

After the museum I checked the yellow metro line, it's one of the first in Europe. I also spent too much time sightseeing so I could buy more food to home. Luckily there was some white bread and salami still, so no problems.

Monday's first visit was not too much. First she forgot that we had a meeting, then some basic questions and we agreed a new meeting with their client for tomorrow. So even more meetings.

I wonder when I'll buy souveniers.

Saturday was a pretty easy day compared to Friday. The interview was a nice chat and even though I have a feeling it isn't going to lead anywhere it was a good warm up for me. After some wandering around city and shops I went back to home. On the way I bought hungarian beer and tururodis.

That beer was called Golden something, I didn't check the word. But it was ok. Later I watched Kontrol - a hungarian movie. After that I was bored and lazy so I just stayed indoors. Strange things also happened in neighbourhood. Two series of gunshots, around 30 altogether. Well, at least they sounded like that. Maybe somebody fed up with bitching neighbour.

Today I checked locations of Monday interviews and wandered through Margit island. I was on the way to Terror Haza when I spotted this internet cafe. Luckily, because I found out that I have another interview on Tuesday. So, that would be my fifth interview.

Dóras bro and father were at the airport after minor delay so things started well. After coffee we headed downtown to do some sightseeing. Communication between us wasn't a problem - it was a strange combination of english and german... I also realized that my german skill were really rusty - especially the spoken language. Anyways, we managed to visit several sights and stayed alive. Trafic here is fast paced and hectic but not insane.

I have about one hour before the first interview. This company is a little bit low potentiaI case so it will be a good practise for those "important" ones. Well, if they make a nice offer I'm not going to say no...

I checked the site before eating and internet cafe. Next to the ITC-companies the was a homeless' shelter... quite a contrast. You don't see those in so often in Finland, maybe the goverment or cold winter takes care of that.

Uh, I'm not ment to wake up this early - especially after only couple of hours sleep. Weather is cold -11 and snowing so we are about to leave soon. I don't want to miss that flight. I think I will sleep on the plane... Zzzzh

He is still not excited...! When is he going to be?

You know this is funny... couple of months back I was picturing it... That I'm going to be there, waiting for him to arrive, at the airport, with my dad.
And guess what!
My father is going to be there... with my BROTHER! Blaaa...

At least there is somebody picking him... I was talking to mum today and I found out I need 2 tubes of "sürített tej", not just one. So she is making another shopping list for Pepez :-)))))
Otherwise the plan is that they take him for a trip... nearby Budapest. Cos they promise quite a nice weather for tomorrow. I'd love to be there! It's been snowing here all day..!!! It's around 15 degrees more there.

I hope it's going to turn out well...

I'm writing this from my parents place. They live in Lahti which is much closer to airport than Lappeenranta. My father gives me a ride to airport in the very early morning. Weather is rather crappy so we have to reserve time. I'm making minor changes to my luggages and preparing some snack for the morning. I should be excited at the moment but I think I don't have any time or resources to be. So many things to think and to do - no place to be excited...

So it isn't that busy but not totally empty either. I am getting excited finally =)
